Filigree hairpin, phoenix
Trâm — the hairpin of the old court; here a phoenix in filigree on a silver pin.

Đinh Văn Hùng
The hairpin was the Định Công piece the court ordered most, and the phoenix its usual head. This one is built in thread inside a frame, the tail feathers laid one by one, on a pin forged from a single rod.
For a knot of hair, or a lapel, or a drawer that keeps small things.
