Storage chest, woven bamboo
Tre — bamboo, split and woven here over a bamboo frame for a chest that weighs a fraction of a wooden one.

Nguyễn Thị Lan
A chest in the twill weave over a bamboo frame, with a lid that lifts on rattan hinges and a rim finished in black lacquer in Hạ Thái — the only piece in the collection made in two villages.
Light enough to carry with one hand, strong enough to sit on. For linen, for blankets, for the things a room needs to hide.
